Quality control of colour matching has been one of the most important objectives and applications in industries. The International Commission on Illumination developed a colour-difference formula in 1994, called CIE94, for use in industrial pass/fail colour-difference work. It was designed to overcome visual non-uniformity and produce a sensible just noticeable difference(JND) value such that color difference can be examined quantitatively rather than with adjectives. This App has been developed using the color difference formula CIE94 that would measure the difference between color slides providing a quantitative approach to the known optic nerve test called the "Red Desaturation Test". This bedside tool helps initial screening or follow up testing of patients that have or potentially have optic nerve conditions. Bedside testings have shown successful detection of optic neuritis in patients and consistent results with visual evoked potential exams. This is a monocular examination and thus one eye is tested at a time while the other remains closed or covered.
